Welcome to Taste, a cozy and inviting specialty coffee shop nestled in the heart of Durango, Colorado since 2017. Since 2019 Taste has been proudly owned and operated by a passionate local couple, Ayla Owens and her husband Mike Clarke. Ayla, a Fort Lewis College alumna, and Mike, with over a decade of specialty coffee experience from England, have combined their talents to bring a unique European-inspired café culture to our beloved community.

At Taste, we take pride in offering more than just exceptional coffee. We specialize in organic coffee drinks crafted with care, alongside a delightful selection of homemade smoothies, pastries, breakfast burritos, and croissant sandwiches. Every sip and bite reflects our commitment to quality and flavor.

What sets Taste apart is our dedication to using locally sourced ingredients and supporting our community. We partner with Desert Sun Coffee Roasters, a local, organic, and award-winning coffee roaster, ensuring that every cup of coffee served is not only delicious but also supports sustainable practices.

In addition to our carefully curated menu, we craft our own syrups and chai in-house, ensuring that each drink is a true reflection of our commitment to excellence.
